Mooney's is an Irish-owned and family-run business dedicated to new and used car sales. The Mooney family has been selling cars on the Long Mile Road in Dublin since 1973. We are Ireland's leading Hyundai dealer for sales, service, and parts. We are also a fully-authorized Nissan and Honda parts and service centre.Due to our continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced, Senior technician to join Mooney's Deansgrange service centre.
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior technician to become part of our workshop team. You will carry out motor vehicle servicing and repairs to approved standards as well as delivering unbeatable service to every customer, every time.
Key Responsibilities:
●Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Hyundai retailer standards.
●3 Plus years of experience
●Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts, informing the workshop manager if the vehicle is awaiting parts and pursuing special orders of parts if necessary.
●Road testing vehicle after work is completed to check work performed
●Perform work as outlined on the job card to the highest level according to the manufacturer’s standard.
●Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying areas of concern.
●Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair after confirming authorization by the customer.
●Franchise Compliance: Work closely with our franchise partners to ensure the adherence to systems, procedures, and standards.
●Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all company tools and workshop equipment are properly maintained to ensure safe and efficient operations.
●Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest technical product information and conduct road tests and quality control checks as necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
●Minimum of 5 years of post-apprenticeship experience, preferably with a franchise.
●Proficiency in various aspects of vehicle servicing, including engine overhaul, diagnostics, and electronics.
●Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
●Exceptional interpersonal and organisational abilities.
●Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, and familiarity with ADP/Kerridge software would be advantageous.
●A genuine passion and knowledge of the automotive industry.
●A desire to self-develop and participate a manufacturer training programme.
●Work independently in a busy environment managing own time and workflow effectively and efficiently.
●Full driving license.
